Buyer of the Year: Teresa Varner, Blue Valley School District

The Buyer of the Year Award is presented to a procurement professional who demonstrates excellence in their daily work - someone who shows strong technical skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to efficiency and transparency.

This year's honoree has consistently gone above and beyond in sourcing, bidding, contract management, and customer service. They exemplify what it means to support their agency and community with professionalism and dedication. Their work has strengthened procurement outcomes and elevated the standards we all strive for.

Volunteer of the Year: Annette West, Johnson County

The volunteer of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has enthusiastically given their time, energy, and passion to support the chapter. Volunteers are the heart of KAPPP, and this award celebrates someone who stepped forward in meaningful ways throughout the year. 

This year's recipient has demonstrated exceptional commitment: showing up, contributing, lending ideas, and helping drive initiatives that benefit our entire membership. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but the impact is felt across the chapter.
