About this event
Sourcewell Cooperative will be presenting on this real world challenge that procurement teams face - contract administration. We will hear from Sourcewell on how to ensure vendor performance, contract compliance, and internal stakeholder alignment.
“Building Contract Administration Systems That Deliver Results”
Description: Contract award is not the finish line. It is the beginning of the work required to achieve successful outcomes. This session explores how public procurement professionals can build practical contract administration systems that promote supplier accountability, reduce risk, address performance concerns, and maximize value for taxpayers. Participants will learn how to develop a Contract Administration Plan, establish clear roles and performance expectations, document and resolve supplier issues, and prepare for effective contract closeout.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of contract administration and its role in ensuring compliance, achieving intended outcomes, and realizing the full value of a public contract.
- Develop the core components of a Contract Administration Plan, including roles and responsibilities, performance measures, communication protocols, documentation requirements, and closeout activities.
- Apply objective and defensible practices for monitoring supplier performance, documenting concerns, communicating corrective actions, and escalating unresolved issues when necessary.
