Chapter Membership

 

Welcome to the Kansas Association for Public Purchasing Professionals (KAPPP), the leading professional network for public procurement professionals across Kansas. Membership is exclusively open to publicly funded agencies. Private businesses, vendors, or consultants are not eligible to join as members. 


Networking Opportunities

  • The Chapter offers conferences and events specific to the interests of public purchasers.
  • Our website provides a membership directory of procurement professionals from our state that represent all facets of public procurement

Professional Development

  • We sponsor NIGP educational seminars and professional development programs to enhance your ability to succeed in the workplace, and to prepare you for certification.

Influence Outcomes & Industry Standards

  • By promoting uniform public purchasing laws and simplified standards and specifications, involved chapter members have the ability to champion a cause they believe in and influence change within the industry.

Eligibility

Membership is limited to publicly funded governmental entities (e.g. cities, counties, school districts, public utilities, state agencies). Private companies, vendors, suppliers, and consultants are not eligible for membership. Payments received from ineligible parties will be refunded; please do not register unless you represent a public agency.

PROCESS TO JOIN

  1. Contact info@kappp.org to request membership consideration. Provide agency information and a brief description of meeting membership requirements. 
  2. Once approved, complete annual dues payment.
  3. Upon approval, receive full access to member-only benefits.

 

 

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP 

  • Annual Fee: $20 per person
  • Term: January 1 - December 31
  • Renewal Deadline: March 1

  • Reduced seminar and conference fees
  • Voting rights
  • Eligibility to hold office in the association.
  • Networking and educational opportunities
