IT Purchasing Agent
Kansas State University is seeking an individual to fulfill an IT Purchasing Agent position. The IT Purchasing Agent (Purchasing Agent II) is a full-time Unclassified position in the Division of Financial Services. The position supports the day-to-day operations and tactical functions of the central Purchasing and Contract Services Office related to the procurement of Information Technology goods and services. Senior Buyer
Promotes the most effective use of college funds in the acquisition of commodities and services. Evaluates market conditions, defines needs with departments, and manages sourcing through various bidding methods (RFQ - Request for Quotes, RFB - Request for Bids, RFP - Request for Proposals, Cooperatives, other methodologies). Reviews, establishes, negotiates, and manages contracts, and vendors. Manages daily activities in the absence of the Executive Procurement Director. This position does not supervise employees.
